Not too much detail at this stage, but a couple of prices that I think are worth taking in advance of the Monaco race weekend are:

Lewis Hamilton Race Winner @ 16/5 (4.20) with BWin
Lewis Hamilton to beat Felipe Massa @ 6/5 (2.20) with BWin

Kazuki Nakajima has been quietly getting on with his job at Williams and in particular has been putting in some strong race performances. In the opening four races he has scored a points finish twice and has a net gain of race finishing position over starting grid position of a massive nineteen places! That is more than anyone else lining up at Istanbul this weekend. All of this got me to looking at Extrabet’s standout 9/1 price for him to record a top eight finish. Continue reading…

After highlighting a trend at the last race of the pole-sitter going on to take victory and then not taking advantage because of a prohibitively short price, I am reluctant to make the same mistake again.

With his predicted main rival Kimi Raikkonen starting from fourth place on the dirty side of the grid and the much-publicised two wins from two poles around here, Massa certainly looks well placed to take victory. Continue reading…

Everyone is predicting a Ferrari red-wash this weekend, but I think that one place where they are worth opposing is in the Fastest Lap market. Continue reading…

pdf-icon.jpg Unfortunately I don’t think that this data sheet will be as useful as it is some weekends, as Formula One cars have only raced at the Istanbul circuit three times previously. Some interesting 2008 season trends are starting to form though.

This time last year I spotted a trend in the winning margin here at the Circuit de Catalunya that I thought was significant. I still hold that opinion and undeterred by either that race or last time out in Bahrain I am prepared to have another crack at this market. Continue reading…

Despite Lewis Hamilton’s well publicised slump in form during the latter half of last season and his supposedly indifferent start to this one, his last ten qualifying grid positions have been: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 9th and 3rd. I think that is mightily impressive, with an average grid position of 2.5. Continue reading…

pdf-icon.jpg OK, we are back after a three-week break that has seemed like an eternity and our battle with the bookies recommences. The evidence on the data sheet indicates a procession, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t money to be made…

I am not the first person to notice the difference in BMW’s fuel strategy for their two drivers over a race weekend. Their current tactics seem to involve fuelling one driver lightly and sending him off as a hare in qualifying, whilst the other driver carries a heavier – and presumably more optimum – fuel load for the race on Sunday. Continue reading…

Jarno Trulli and Nico Rosberg are a couple of drivers at decent prices that I want to keep on the right side of this weekend, particularly in the qualifying and fastest lap markets. I am going to wait until after tomorrow’s sessions to decide on how to play the race, but others already keen on these two have picked up some great prices. Continue reading…
